Congleton is about 45 mins from Manchester Airport, you can either get the train over to Congleton (trains from manchester run on the hour) or you can get a taxi (pre-book or this will cost quite a bit). Uber is available from manchester airport but at peak times it can be quite a wait.
Cheshire is mostly countryside and there are no bus route near the venues. There are quite a lot a taxi companies in Congleton but again these need to be booked in advance as it is a small town.
Yioda and Matt met online, they sent messages for three months before Yioda agreed for them to talk on the phone. After another three months of talking each night on the phone Yioda finally agreed to meet Matt for a first date. The reason why Yioda caved was because Matt let slip that he had been on a date with someone else, Yioda was not impressed and was determined to put a stop to said dates with this other person. They met, immediately became exclusive and dated for a while traveling back and forth between Bradford and Cheshire to spend time together. It soon became apparent that the distance wasn't working so they bought a house and Yioda packed her bags and her massive amount of kitchen equipment and moved to Congleton. After two years of living together and working hard to do up their house, Matt took Yioda off for a surprise spa day in the lake district. After a long morning of relaxing and a little too much cake, Matt proposed.
Yioda is from Bradford, she loves baking, adventure and great food - our favourite meal was an amazing meal that we reminisce about on top of the National Portrait Gallery. In true Yioda style she didn't fancy anything on the dessert menu and asked the waitress to find out what else the kitchen could make her. And again in true Yioda style they came out and said they were trialling a Tiramisu (one of Yioda's favourites) so we ordered it to share and as always Yioda's luck meant that it was incredible.
Yioda looks after me better than I could ask for she cooks nearly every meal for me with love and care, despite desperately wanting me to eat meat. She pushes me to take risks because she believes in me, she encouraged me to apply for new jobs when my career became stale, which lead to me being in an incredible job with an amazing company. Without Yioda I certainly wouldn't be in the position I'm in at the moment. I'm not sure everyone gets our relationship, but I do and thats all that matters, and I couldn't be happier. Yioda would do anything for me, including buying my 30th Birthday present nearly a year early because she knew what she wanted to get me and didn't want me to wait. Brutally honest (to the point of making complaints very uncomfortable), loyal and caring, together we make the best team.
If I was to describe Matt in three words those words would be 'determined', 'creative' and 'loving'.
Determined... From the moment Matt scarily found out my home address when I was living with my parents and we were speaking online (without anyone giving him this information) and sent me flowers I knew I had found someone who wasn't afraid to go the extra mile and think outside the box. He was persistent and determined to have a first date, just as he is determined to succeed and be the best he can be in everyday life. This determination is a quality I hugely admire and love about him, and if it wasn't for his determination for us to have that first date we wouldn't be where we are now planning our wedding.
Creative... Matt is the most creative person I know and he can pretty much turn his hand to anything. I wanted a bird table from the garden centre but he convinced me that it wasn't right and was too expensive. I had long forgotten about said bird table when at Christmas (2014) I was presented with a bird table that Matt had made by hand in our loft as a surprise and which must have taken him hours. And before you ask, yes said bird table is still standing firm in the garden and looks even better to me that the one I saw for £200. It has nothing to do with the cost but the time and effort he put into making it for me to make me happy- the same time and effort he has always put into our relationship. Always happy to give people his time and always will give 100% to anything he tries.
Loving... There are far too many examples I could give and I won't go into the mushy route as anyone who knows me knows that isn't my style. Safe to say I could not imagine my life without him. He is my best friend and soul mate- forever looking out for my best interests, supporting me when I need it the most and every so often he will even do something romantic like buying me surprise Freddos. As the saying goes if you have love you have everything you need. Loved by my family, loved by everyone who knows him, but especially loved by me. And that folks is where I end by saying I really think we have the perfect equation cracked.
